About Ghislaine

Ghislaine trained at the prestigious College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading under the guidance of pioneers such as John and Angie Hicks and Peter Mole. Attracting Ghislaine to this system of medicine was its’ motivating force, found in the natural cycles of life. In contrast to the western approach to health and dis-ease where we narrow down our perspective of ourselves to isolate a symptom and target it with synthetic drugs, acupuncture prefers to widen our stance and not only treat the human being in their entirety (body, mind and spirit) but also as a microcosm of our environment. It is complex but simple. Profound yet mundane. It recognises that we co-exist with the world around us, be it the food that we eat, the water we drink, the lifestyle we choose, the environmental conditions around us, the relationships we find ourselves in, and so it goes on. We are continually affected by the flow of life and sometimes this can be nourishing, life enhancing and magical and at other times it can be deeply saddening, toxic or depleting. At the more stressful times it is likely that we will need a little help to get us back on track and functioning in a more healthy way again. Acupuncture is great for this.

Having acupuncture treatment greatly helped Ghislaine when she was going through desperate times in her life. Through a long series of treatments, acupuncture helped her navigate the very rocky terrain and get back on track, to find a different track to the one that she’d got stuck on. It gave her more energy and enthusiasm, an ability to see more clearly and life gradually became interesting again.

For many years Ghislaine has practised meditation daily and attended Qi Gong retreats with Zhixing Wang primarily. She is eternally grateful to the acupuncture for leading her to the Qi Gong and meditation which have helped her to heal in ever deepening ways. This gives her meaning to life alongside spending time with her family and friends, walking out in nature and enjoying music. She hopes to help others in the way that acupuncture helped her.
