About Joe
Joe has been immersed in health and wellness from a young age, practicing meditation and Raj Yoga. The loss of his father at the age of nine led him to recognize early on that perception plays a crucial role in well-being. He came to understand that experiences are not simply good or bad—within every challenge lies opportunity, and within every blessing, potential hardship. This realization shaped his belief in the power of positivity, reframing narratives, and creating space from one’s thoughts to avoid being consumed by them. His early loss also deepened his sensitivity to the suffering of others, instilling in him a profound desire to help people navigate and transcend their own struggles.
Every offering Joe brings to the Well Bath community stems from personal experience—each discovered during different stages of his own journey through crisis. One of the most transformative experiences in his healing journey came after a debilitating shoulder injury that persisted for years. Through Tui Na therapy, he found full rehabilitation, inspiring him to study the practice under Errol Lynch through the Student to Master program. For over 15 years, Joe has been helping others overcome long-standing, stubborn injuries using this specialized technique.
Following a spontaneous Kundalini awakening, Joe faced an intense period of emotional, mental and spiritual upheaval—grief, anxiety, and instability surfaced in overwhelming waves. For two years, he struggled to understand and integrate this transformation. His search for answers led him deeper into the study of yoga, where he immersed himself in its philosophy and teachings. Through Prana Kriya Yoga, under the tutelage of yogi Ashokanada in Tiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, India, he learned to release stress, anxiety, and stored emotions, quieting his mind through focused breathwork. This process required profound internal change—shedding old patterns and identities to rebuild from a stronger, more authentic foundation.
After 18 years in London, Joe felt an undeniable call to a different way of life. The path he had been walking, while rich in experience, no longer fit the person he was becoming. Returning to his hometown of Bath, he connected with like-minded practitioners and co-founded Well Bath.
Well Bath was born from a vision: to bring together exceptional therapists who, like Joe, have personally experienced healing crises and successfully navigated their way back to wellness. Each practitioner offers a modality that has played a pivotal role in their own healing journey. Well Bath is more than a wellness center—it is a sanctuary, a space dedicated to helping people restore balance, cultivate well-being, and thrive.

"It’s hard to put into words just how incredible Joe is both as a yoga teacher and as a human being. He’s the real deal and we are blessed to have him in our lives. There’s no denying his yoga is strong and yet his classes are accessible to all. Joe encourages each person to go deeper and to explore their edge whilst all the while holding the space in a safe and gentle way. He treasures every person equally and his classes are an oasis of beautiful souls all gathered together to do their journey side by side. Newcomers are welcomed with open arms by both Joe and all his ‘regulars’. Meeting Joe has changed my life. I came to him with 3 years of chronic pain from cancer treatment and was on high doses of opiates. 3 months of Yin, Himalayan Hatha, and Prana Kriya together with weekly Tui Na massage and I am free of all medication and pain. The key to it all is in the breath and you will not find a better teacher than Joe when it comes to breathwork. My advice to anyone considering a session with this remarkable man is do it, do it now!”
